About The Housing Working Group
The Housing Working Group is being led by Church Community Housing Corporation. This group works to identify housing needs within the community. We seek out creative approaches to improve housing, resolve housing related issues and advocate for fair housing in the HEZ area.
Background
Our group was established in 2019 and at that time there was no community needs assessment related to housing. Because of this, and the Covid pandemic, we have primarily been focused on problems as they arise.
Goal
At this time we are going through a goal setting process so the group can become a more proactive force in the community. We recently held a Lead in Housing training session for residents and are participating regularly in conversations surrounding the redevelopment of the North End.
